I get to be a missionary now

I am now officially a Family History Support Missionary. However I have 2 months of training before I get to actually help anyone which is good.

I have wanted to serve a mission but knew I couldn't go on a traditional one. So I can now serve a mission and not leave home.

It has been interesting getting ready to begin. I had to upgrade my internet and my computer's RAM. Today I got an e-mail with 20 pages of instructions on how to set my computer up with the support tools.

I begin my training September 8. This is a new adventure for me and a step just out of my comfort zone. I have had a lot of time to do things since I retired but now I will have to get organized because I will be spending 4 hours a day for 4 to 5 days a week.

I will be serving for 18 months. I figured I might as well do that amount after all the training.

I know I will receive blessings for this mission and a lot of help from the Spirit.
